Remsen Recreation Summer Program

The Remsen Recreation Summer Program is held at the park each summer. Informational letters are sent home through the Remsen Elementary School. The letter is also available in the documents section below.

2023: There is a $20 per child fee for Remsen residents and a $32 per child fee for Non-Remsen residents. The age range accepted has changed to 5-12 years old. Please read the entire letter carefully.

Please note that the Park is not available for use during the hours of operation for the Summer Recreation Program. A schedule of events for the Summer Recreation Program will be posted on this website and on an event board at the park.

Summer Recreation Program

2023 Recreation program will be July 10 through August 18 from 9-12 Monday – Friday

The park is not available for use by the general public during Program hours.

Other Facilities at Town Park

Sporting facilities:

– Soccer field
– Baseball field
– Tennis courts
– Playground equipment
– Hill for sliding during the Winter months

Amenities:

– Blacktop parking lot with designated Accessible parking spaces
– Pavilion with blacktop surface and picnic tables (the kitchen protion is not available for public use)
– Accessible bathrooms
– Electrical outlets
– Lighting under pavilion and on baseball field

Restrictions

Prohibited substances:

No smoking, drugs, alcohol, or illegal substances of any kind are permitted at the park.

Behavior:

Those who use the Remsen Town Park are asked to conduct themselves in a legal and responsible manner at all times. Please display appropriate behavior while on the park grounds and leave the facilities in good condition.

Pets:

Any dogs on park grounds should be leashed at all times, licensed, and up to date on rabies vaccinations.

Pet owner’s are responsible for the actions of their pets and any resulting damages those pets may cause.

Canine waste receptacles are provided. Please clean up after your pets.

Reservations

Scheduling a Date

The Town Park Pavilion is available for use by groups or individuals. Please call the Town Hall at 831-5558 to make a reservation to use the park.

You must contact the Town Hall for a Park Use Form (a printable version may be found below) & to reserve your date.

If you choose to print and mail in/return a form in person it is best to call ahead to ensure that your date is available.

Fee Schedule

Pavilion Use:

Non-Resident – $25.00

Remsen Resident – $0.00

Any use of Electricity – $10.00

Dumpster Use – $10.00

Ball Field Use (Lights) – $22.50 per use

Picnic Tables

If you wish to borrow PICNIC TABLES you must contact the Town Hall before removing any tables.
